Big Box Retailer Buys Brownfield Property

Hart & Hickman assisted a national big box retailer in redeveloping an industrial Brownfield site in Columbia under the terms of their South Carolina VCC agreement.   In additon, we a Phase I ESA with asbestos, mold and lead-based paint surveys and later directed earthwork in the vicinity of impacted soils and monitoring wells during site redevelopment, and the site was successfully redeveloped. 

The site was a former electrical parts manufacturer located on Two Notch Road.  Soil on the property was impacted with chlorinated solvents, PCBs, and PAHs.
