Town of Hampton obtains Voluntary Cleanup Contract
The Town of Hampton recently obtained their Voluntary Cleanup Contract for the former SDS Medical Inceinerator properties. The Town is working towards taking title to the property. The privately operated and owned former SDS Medical Incinerator accepted wastes from hospitals and medical facilities and incinerated them on-site under a SC DHEC permit. The facility had a history of permit violations resulting in it being shut down in 2002. Assisted by Hart & Hickman and using the Town's Brownfield assessment grant funds, the property has been assessed and reports are being prepared.
