City of Wadley Purchases Brownfield Property for Redevelopment
The City of Wadley has completed their purchase of a Brownfield property integral to their downtown revitalization efforts. The former mechandise store and gas station was assessed using grant funds awarded to the Central Savannah River Area Regional Development Council. Hart & Hickman assisted the City in assessing the property and successfully guiding the project through Georgia EPD's Brownfield program. Community outreach meetings were held recently to solicit input from local stakeholders on how the property may be best used.
