Anderson County, Tennesee Brownfield Assessment Grant Award
Anderson County Tennessee has been awarded a $200,000 petroleum assessment grant by US EPA. Previous assessments identified petroleum releases at the former La-Lite Blocks Corporation located in Lake City, TN. The 4.5-acre property has historically been utilized as a concrete block manufacturing facility, mobile home park, and automobile salvage and scrap yard. Assessment grant funds will be utilized to complete a thorough assessment of the La-Lite Blocks facility, conduct community outreach activities, and to promote redevelopment of the property.
