Former Depot

A Phase I ESA, asbestos survey, lead-based paint survey, and structural survey for the property was completed.  During planning for the the Phase II soil and ground water assessment it was determined that the property was owned by Norfolk-Southern Railroad.  After working with Norfolk Southern for several months, the City was unable to negotiate an agreeable lease.  The City or Downtown Development Authority will continue to try to purchase this property. 

Conceptual and artistic renderings for the Depot Property were recently completed; however, the renderings will only be utilized once the City, Downtown Development Authority, or a third party has purchased the property from Norfolk Southern.  See pictures to the right or stop by City Hall.
