Featured Property
The former Davis Pipe Company property is an inactive industrial facility containing approximately 98,000 square feet in eight metal warehouse buildings and a 3,750-square foot brick office structure on approximately 60 acres in Blountville, Tennessee.  The abandoned site contains a RCRA waste unit currently monitored and maintained by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation Division of Solid Waste Management.  Brownfield environmental assessments were completed for the property under Sullivan County's Brownfields Assessment Grant.  Subsequently, the County acquired the property via a delinquent tax foreclosure process and has tentatively sold the property at a public tax sale pending closing.  The new purchaser intends to enter the site into a State Brownfields Agreement.
