A Cleanup Grant was awarded in 2008 that is being used to clean up the Planter's Oil Mill property.  All plans are in place, and the property is slated for cleanup in the coming months.  Conceptual plans for the site involve mixed use multi-family housing and commercial redevelopment along with greenspace.

The Brownfields program is being managed by Peter Varney, Assistant City Manager.
