The goal of Roanoke's Brownfield Program is to put underutilized properties back into service, enhance quality of life for the community, generate jobs, and increase private investment within the City.

The City of Roanoke has been highly successful in winning 3 EPA Brownfield Assessment Grants and a $1,000,000 Revolving Loan Fund Grant to support their Brownfield revitalization program.   Christopher Blakeman, the City's Environmental Administrator, is managing the program for the City.
