The goal of the COG's Brownfield Program is to put underutilized properties back into service, enhance quality of life for the community, generate jobs, and increase private investment within the COG's member counties.

The Piedmont Triad COG was awarded a $200,000 EPA Brownfield Grant for assessment of hazardous substance Brownfield properties. The COG's Planning Director, Paul Kron, is managing the program.
