The goal of Knox County's Brownfield Program is to put underutilized properties back into service, enhance quality of life for the community, generate jobs, and increase private investment within the County.

Knox County, TN was awarded a $200,000 in EPA Brownfield Grant for assessment of a former cotton mill property along a key Interstate corridor in Knoxville.  The project was directed by Todd Napier, Executive Vice President of The Development Corporation of Knox County.
