The goal of the Brownfield program is to promote redevelopment within the City of Hickory. Brownfield development can increase the City's tax base, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for the City's residents.
The City’s Brownfield Assessment Program requires a working partnership between the City's staff; members of the Brownfield Advisory Group (BAG); local residents, businesses, property owners, and developers; EPA and State of North Carolina environmental regulators; and Hart & Hickman’s environmental scientists and engineers.
