EPA Assessment Grant Ending

After three years of work on the former SDS properties, the Town of Hampton's Brownfield Assessment grant comes to an end on September 30, 2010.  This does not mean an end to the Town's Brownfield program; however.  The Town remains committed to cleaning up a small area of metals impacted soils.  The Town is currently applying for funding from South Carolina's Revolving Loan Fund, an EPA funded program for environmental cleanups.  In addition, the Town is searching for funding to develop the park that has been proposed for the former SDS properties.
