Catawba Regional COG

Grant Description

EPA has selected Catawba Regional Council of Governments (CRCOG) for a Brownfield assessment grant totaling $200,000. Grant funds are used to inventory and prioritize Brownfield sites, conduct community outreach activities, perform Phase I and II environmental site assessments (ESAs), and develop reuse plan for underutilized sites in the urban core of the Rock Hill textile mill corridor in Old Town. The terms of the assessment grant are for three years.

Phase I ESAs
CRCOG has contracted with three environmental consultants, Hart & Hickman, synTerra, and Terracon, to provide technical expertise in assessing the environmental conditions of selected candidate Brownfield properties.  To date, Phase I ESAs have been conducted on the followng properties:
