The goal of Anderson County's Brownfield Program is to put underutilized properties back into service, enhance quality of life for the community, generate jobs, and increase private investment within the County.

Anderson County Tennessee was awarded a $200,000 Brownfield Assessment Grant from EPA Region 4 in 2008.   The grant is site-specific and is focused on the assessment of the former La-Lite Block Corporation site in Lake City, TN.  The property has been used for auto salvage operations.
